Boomer - Robot Trading

Learning for some people is a process of making mistakes and then avoiding those mistakes in the future.

Learning for some people is watching and learning from the mistakes of others.

I find myself in the first category all too often.

One of the mistakes I made was believing a sales pitch for a robot trading program called Boomer from CTI. I paid $5,000 for the program and over the next year lost $6,781.40 using the program with PFGBest.

Expensive lesson.

For those of you who fall into the second category I recommend you avoid that particular company and program.

Currently I'm still spending time to learn how to trade stocks. Last night I put in two limit orders for TIBX and CHKP. I invested $32,910 and was able to sell the stocks later in the day for a net gain of $338.22.

I am planning on setting up two trades for tomorrow HL and CHKP, we'll see how well they do. Since the previous trades today have not yet settled I cannot trade as large a position as I would like but I am looking at this effort as a learning experience - hence my name for this blog.
